Lima Villa

Location: Tulum, Quintana Roo

Designed for the coastal atmosphere of Lima, this residence explores the balance between sculptural form and livable comfort. The architecture is composed of bold cantilevered volumes that create shaded outdoor spaces while protecting the interiors from direct solar exposure, responding naturally to the local climate.

Large glazed surfaces dissolve the boundary between inside and outside, allowing the social areas to extend toward the terrace and pool. Water becomes a central element of the experience, reflecting light into the interiors and reinforcing the sensation of freshness within a dense urban context.

Materiality is intentionally restrained: light-toned surfaces, glass and subtle textures enhance the changing sky conditions typical of Lima, where diffuse light defines the character of the space. The project prioritizes spatial continuity, privacy, and environmental comfort, resulting in a contemporary home that feels open yet protected.

More than a formal gesture, the design seeks to create a calm everyday atmosphere — a house conceived not only to be seen, but to be lived slowly.
